3 years ago.......

3 years ago yesterday we met our Mylee girl for the first time. You can see details of the day here-

I can't believe it has already been 3 years. I really don't know where the time has gone. What I do know is that I cherish every single moment that I have been this little girl's mom. The good ones and even the not so good ones :0)

Mimi is 7!

I just can't believe it, but my baby turned 7 years old on Friday. To celebrate the big day, we surprised her by showing up at her school with cupcakes (we do this every year) but then told her that we were taking her and Mylee to the Miley Cyrus concert in San Francisco! My babies love to stay in hotels so the concert being out of town was a bonus. Before we left town we had lunch at one of her favorite restaurants where she had one of their famous Pazookies (cookie baked in a cast iron skillet, topped with ice cream).

The girls had a fabulous time at the concert. They know practically every word to every song on one of Miley Cyrus' cds so they couldn't believe that they actually got to see her in person. The next day we drove around our favorite city and enjoyed the great weather. When we returned home we had some of grandma's famous strawberry cake for her birthday and then opened presents. She got something she has been asking for for over a year.

Mia said that is was "the best birthday ever!"

The girl loves to sing.......

My Mylee LOVES Miley Cyrus and knows most of the words to her songs. Here is a video she recently made for her cousin Anthony (who loves this song) before he left for college.

It's Been a Long Time.......

I thought I was done with blogging- two kids, sports, activities, work, I just didn't think I had it in my anymore. I still try to check in on my favorite blogs and decided to post after some gentle nudging from one of my favorite bloggers Sara.

I will try do some catching up and see if I can hang on to this blog just a little while longer.

Mylee started preschool this week. What a milestone for my little one. Where has the time gone.

Puzzle Time

Mylee's latest love is puzzles! She skipped right past the traditional toddler big piece-shape puzzles and went right for the harder ones. I bought her this reversible floor puzzle for Christmas thinking it might be fun. She has quite a temper when she's not able to do something right away and gets quite upset. I thought that the puzzle would be something that we could do together and we could work on her patience :0)


I was all prepared to sit down and help her put together the puzzle when she looked at me and said "I can dooo it mommy! Let me dooo it!" I sat back to watch her and was amazed that after a short time she was able to put the puzzle together with only a couple of questions of "where does dis one go?" This little girl never ceases to amaze me!
